I'll try to stray away from describing myself, since I don't think listing a slew of adjectives would tell you much about who I am (I doubt many of us are very good at 'knowing ourselves' deeply in this fashion, and I'm certainly no exception). I'll talk about what I do, though, and that might give a better sense of my life or whatever it is that I'm going about these days.

I read a tremendous amount since I find that books give me access to other lives in ways that other art forms do not. I ride my bike as often as possible. I don't own a car since I don't need one, and they're awful for the environment. I'm a vegan because I love living things and I don't like the idea of hurting them purposely (and vegan food is simply better, in my opinion). I meditate daily. I'm not a Buddhist in the official sense, but I try to subscribe to a Buddhist philosophical system because I find it kind-hearted, realistic, and helpful to my own life. I voted for Obama in 2008, although I'm a bit disappointed with some of his decisions thus far (especially in regard to don't ask, don't tell, which needs to be abolished immediately). I suppose I'm too liberal for my own good. I'm a politics junky, and tend to go off the deep end when the Daily Show is on one of its numerous weekly breaks. It has taken me 25 years of life to start exercising, but now that I have, I love it and couldn't do without. I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, although I used to do them all with reckless abandon and have no problem being around those who do. I love to travel, and just finished an extended stay in Cairo where I worked and did research for my graduate thesis.

Things I'm hoping to do within the next year:

1. Start growing my own food.
2. Long distance bike tours. I'm looking at a 500 mile stretch in Florida that seems absolutely beautiful.
3. Get to Istanbul. I've never been, and it's next on a very long list of possible destinations (with Fez as a very close second).
4. Learn more Arabic. I'm horrible with foreign languages, but I still like trying.

Sigh ... I should get something here. I just discovered that I had apparently listed myself as "Overweight" even though I'm almost thin as a rail - if that tells about how often I update/change/check this thing. Terrible person and all that.

The skinny: I play guitar and have been working on finally writing my own stuff instead of just playing covers, although I have a penchant for covering (in a finger-picking or classical style) songs from genres not generally heard on an acoustic guitar (metal, hip-hop).

I listen to almost all types of music although I can't get past At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul right now. Don't let that deter you; I also have an acoustic guitar always handy. From the blues to electronic to metal, I can find something I like.

I like to cook. My housemates and I cook almost every night of the week - and usually better quality than your average amateurs too.

We don't have a TV hook up in the house, so I watch a lot of downloaded shows and movies. I'll watch almost anything as long as long as it is intellectually entertaining or thoroughly stupid.

If you're dying, or just want to live every day as if it was your last then I'm your man. I see the world in a different light than anyone you'll come across. I've never been burdened by the inconvenience of a box, lines, or boundaries obstructing what really matters. I can only be accurately described as a paradoxical analogous harmony weaving into a melodically mercurial dance of unpredictability. I can light the bleak, and am well versed in turning everyday boredom into something unforgettable. Rest assured though, I'm light hearted, easy going, and open minded; tolerant, patient, warm and affectionate. Iâ??m the all singing all dancing, say the right thing at the right time genuine gentleman. Iâ??m respectful and reserved. My intentions are good, my record is clean, and I have no reason to be dishonest to anyone. I will make you laugh until you're embarrassed. I'm relentlessly romantic, and no stranger to sweeping a girl off her feet.

So to answer the question that everyone eventually asks "I don't get it, why are YOU on a dating site, what's wrong with you?.. Nothing. I think you'll find I'm soberingly balanced, not the least bit awkward or dorky, and I've heard pictures do me no justice. I can't say I'm easily impressed or that I take this seriously, but on the other hand I'm not one to needlessly rule out any opportunity.

Iâ??m new to Citrus County(a ghost town) and Gainesville. These days I live on 10 acres of woods in Crystal River half the week, and spend the other half at the UF law school. I travel most weekends, because I have friends I stay with in Ocala, Tampa, or Orlando. Iâ??m not planning on living in this situation for too long so I figured itâ??d be just as well to meet people in those areas.

I have only one dimple. Throughout my life I have been saved by this one-dimpled smile. My third grade teacher said that it exploded into my eyes. I grew up primarily in Floyd Virginia, a one stoplight town with more cows than people. I enjoy the beautiful things in life. I don't mean the stereotypical, magazine-cutout beauty but, fabulous beauty- like when everything is tinted orange with the sunset, or the contrast of freshly brewed coffee in a white diner cup, and the way blue cigarette smoke dangles in the air and gets carried away with the breeze.

My name is Nate and I'm 21 6'4 athletic. I was raised in Israel and moved to Miami in the august two years ago. I was at a crossroad, stay in Israel and serve in the Israeli army for 3 years or go to America to start my life and attend college. It was a hard decision to make, but over the last two years I have learned who I really am. In December I will transfer to the University of Florida and get the hell out of Miami. I think that Miami's definition of having fun is bullshit, i don't need a ton of drugs to have fun. I prefer chilling with some drinks... and spending one on one time.

The first thing people tend to notice when talking to me is I'm obsessed with music. I picked up djing, which is lucky that I have this obsession. I tend to be a little bit of a split personality of musical styles, though. In clubs (mainly the attic on Friday nights, of late) I tend to spin more industrial/ebm/synthpop and on the radio/podcast (www.cabaretsynthetiq.podomatic.com or friday nights on from 11-1 on 94.7 WGOT), I do a very electro/indie dancerock show. So far, though, the highlight of this is kind of a toss up between doing a set with the keyboardist of Shiny Toy Guns after they completely ripped up a club with their live act or being the warm up dj for Freezepop when they played locally. Djing to a couple hundred people in a sold out club and everyone dancing and having a blast. Very good times.

All is not music, though. I'm also a bit of a film dork, love a good book, can wrap up in a video game (xbox gamertag = zynthpopicon), and love good food. So, basically, if you're someone that likes dinner at maybe an Indian resturaunt, followed by seeing a splatter flick on the big screen, going out dancing, then playing drunken Rock Band till sun up, then we should definitely talk.

Word of warning, though. As a friend once put it, "You tend to find the line of good taste, straddle up beside it, drop trou and crap all over it." Yeah, I can be a bit crass, but it's all in good fun, and love making someone laugh, and also seeing how far I can go before someone gets uncomfortable. I can, and will, reel it in at times, but know that it's kind of a bizarre habit of mine.

I think to sum myself up I'd say.... I'm a loving, caring, passionate guy, that likes to do romantic things with my girl... On the other hand I've hear that I'm a cocky, abrasive, loud,mean, jerk thats always right...lol

Most relationships I've been in have ended well, and the girl always says that I'm not what she thought I was in a good way. so... I'm not sure what they mean bye that but I'll take it as a positive. :)

I'm ready to get out and do something. I enjoy belly dance. I'd like to learn to Salsa. Wear some high heels. I don't like mind games. I prefer straight forward everything. But a little mystery is alright. I love salt water, but dislike any kind of murky, gunk infested water. I'm generally contemplative, but in the presence of interesting and fun individuals, I come alive. I want to travel and enjoy the ride. It's not so much about where you go, but what you do on the way. I like pretty boys with long hair. I'll talk to anyone, if they're approachable. I love learning, especially through guided participation. Interaction and communication are enjoyable ^.^ Especially when the result is a feeling of accomplishment. My favorite mammal is the tiger. I sometimes purr randomly. Please don't let that frighten you. I'm intrigued with the concept of "body painting." By that I mean, having my body painted and also painting with my body. I like seafood. I love riding the waves in any sort of sea vessel, provided it's not... canoe shaped =p I will not get into a canoe. Ever. Again. I AM afraid of spiders. I'm easily startled by anything which unexpectedly starts creeping along my flesh. I love horror films. Good ones. Sometimes cheesy ones. I love being so afraid that I jump at every sound, provided I know that I'm actually safe. I like movies where I have to cover my eyes. Sex scenes irritate me. They never show anything interesting. My musical genre of preference is "metal," generally speaking, 80's/classic. Perhaps power. A little of death/black. I'll listen to anything though. I have varied interests when it comes to music. From musicals to techno to folk music to Latin soul o.o Some of my other interests include mythology (Greek, Norse, Celtic, Indian, Native American), paganism, witchcraft, paranomral (ghosts, evp, esp), anything related to magic or mysticism or the supernatural... er... demons and angels... fantasy... nature. Video games. I like to watch people play video games, provided they let me play backseat =p I'm very open, and open minded. I'll answer any question, provided you can prove to me that it's not stupid. I love Neil Gaiman. And reading in general. It's Harry Potter, and not Harry Potthead. I went to a faire and saw an acrobatics group called the Aerial Angels, and I was awed. Their performance was fabulous and it makes me wonder if I am too old/fat/unfit to try something like that! I've always wanted to do gymnastics but have never really had the resources.

Looking for some fun people to hang out with if I get along with you. I like playing video games, playing regular games and running around outside. I'm pretty busy, so I'm not always around, so anyone who needs a lot of attention isn't going to be very happy being friends with me. :)

I'm "different," but in a good way, and have been told I have a great energy about me.

I have a very active mind.. which means sometimes I cant sleep as I try to solve the world housing crisis though responsible design (haha), or brainstorm my next greatest already invented, invention. A friend of mine used to complain that I'd never act on these ideas, to which I could only agree, until recently... (but in my defense, most were pretty extreme and need resources galore to get going! Plus.. gotta keep my eye on the prize!)

In undergrad, I studied "English." More specifically given that major can mean ANYTHING, I was interested in film and media studies. In the end, I become fascinated with the dilemma of writing though both a historical and humanitarian context.

I love to skateboard. While doing so, all my troubles bleed away and there is only me and my board. Consequently, I have torn my right anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) twice curtsy of the sport, but have no regrets. We are all the products of our experiences and surroundings, thus I'll never think of such events as negative, since I am who I am given my past. (plus tearing my ACL opened my eyes to exploring a career in medicine!!)

I spent a year studying and working in Chicago after graduating from UF. Given my undergraduate career enjoying the freedom of thought as a student of the liberal arts, I begin taking premed prereqs at Loyola. My favorite t-shirt simply states "Experiment with a Chemist", and I think I'm living up to it as a curious, outgoing chemistry graduate. It is a big part of my life, and I'm looking to make scientific glass-blowing my full-time hobby. Currently I am making the transition from college student to grad student, and living up all the life I can get away with before school consumes my soul.

Even though I do not actively practice, I am a Pastafarian. As you can tell from that statement way too much of my time is spent Stumbling around the internets, though I spend a lot of time rocking out, watching Stargate SG-1 and reading all the books and comics I can get my hands on.

I am a public relations major at UF and I basically love life. I'm looking to get back into the dating scene, but not looking for anything too serious. I'm really approachable and I hope I get to meet you :)

I enjoy many things from computer games like WoW and EQ, to sports, to reading and movies, to road trips to nowhere. I have a few simple rules I live by that make my life far less stressful and complicated.

1. Everyone has problems, I don't need to make more for them.

2. At this point, my life is all about enjoying myself and if I am not currently having fun, I need to change what I am doing immediately.

There are a few other rules, but they only matter if we become very good friends.

I am extroverted yet not overly vocal about my feelings unless directly asked. I love a good debate and the challenges of excercising my mind. I find the mind to be the key to happiness in all ways, including sexual. Even the most attractive woman in the world will fail to keep my attention if she can not stimulate and captivate my mind. I will gladly have an intellectual conversation on almost any topic and am always very willing to learn about new subjects and topics or expand upon those subjects I already know something about.

I'm employed, stable, have a place to live and a vehicle to drive and feel fairly content overall, just a bit bored and perhaps looking for some new friends or possibly more.

I'll be unstoppably giddy or totally listless depending on the day. I'm often stream-of-consciousn ess. I absolutely hate absolutes. People tell me I'm smart, but I think it's because I tend to keep my mouth shut. Incidentally, I love to learn. though i hate being bored (read: some classes are meh, and i'm going to take up the guitar come summer). I'm pretty decent at engineeringy-type stuff, but I'm also a huge fan of psych topics and languages (i've got a working comprehension of most of the romance languages). Philosophy can keep me busy for days on end. Honestly I'm not sure what I'm looking for here, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised? I hope so. Hey. I'm not good with this whole online thing so I'm not really sure what to say- a friend of mine told me about this site which he met his girlfriend on. I'm a junior at UF majoring in Marketing. I seem shy at first but I can be pretty funny and goofy when you get to know me. I like to draw, ride my motorcycle, play electric guitar, bass, and drums. I'm very competitive but not a poor sport if I don't win. I'm really involve in my studies, volunteering, and helping out where ever it's needed. I like being random and spontaneous. Ideally I would like to find someone that's laid back, ambtitous, and likes being active too.

I graduated from UF in May 2006 and am currently a Masters student in Business Administration(MBA). I never would have guessed that I'd end up in Gainesville after undergrad but here I am. I feel like I'm one of the lucky few that has a career that I really enjoy. I love the outdoors, spending time with friends doing completely random things and anything else that's possibly fun. I'm really easy going, I like to try new things and I'm about as down to earth as they get. I also know way too much about politics and the economy and other really nerdy things like that so please don't get me started unless you want to fall asleep. I promise I can be fun though :)

I'm really looking to make some long term friendships. I don't have much free time; I spend most of my time at work, going to the gym and of course school. I didn't want to quit my job b/c of school - I'm doing both at the same time: again, over-achiever. I plan to be even more successful and I don't see any reason to not. What I am looking for are friendships that are meaningful and if there's potential for more to develop, great...but if not, still good :)

I've been lacking in the profile editing department recently. Which irks me to no end. But here I am, sick of working on oh-so magical things. I need to vent.

I'd like to think that I'm describable in nice, easy, compact terms. Why? People like easy, whether they admit it or not. Quiet, likes cats, vaguely artistic, knows random shit, maybe even strong. I am a private Chef and I love to cook. I am really laid back making it really easy to get along with. As long as I am with good friends I could care less where I am. My family is closer to me then any other family out there and we always take care of each other..... my close friends fall into my family category as well.

I work constantly on developing myself and I love helping others develop themselves. I care deeply about expressivity (physical, verbal, emotional, social...).

My favourite activity is sitting and talking for hours, very preferably in person. Close seconds include swing dancing and listening to music. I also like rollerskating, running, shopping and going to the beach. I read scads but I'd rather be hanging out with someone.

...And so It began. I was born and proceded to do random life activities. I wandered the world for a few years barefoot and had several Zen like experience. Only then was I able to reach the peak of my intellectual enlightenment.

Honestly, I live in Gainesville Fl, Moved from St. Augustine. I don't really enjoy it out here but I don't hate it either. It's a place where things can get accomplished if you apply yourself. I guess this is the hard part. I'm not really sure what to say. I'm your average guy, nothing spectacular. I'd like to think I'm a nice guy. I tend to be pretty quiet at first, but I eventually open up.

I have recently moved to Florida from Georgia. The ocean has been calling my name for a while now. :) I am tying to start my own business in this time of economic crisis but if you don't take big leaps you don't get big pay off right???

I am on here to find like-minded individuals who I can learn something from and can learn something from me in return. I am not looking to jump right into a relationship. I believe friendship is the foundation for all relationships. But, of course, there are always exceptions. haha

I am a pretty chill person, and I feel pretty comfortable being me for the most part. I am very fun to be around and am very open minded. I don't get too crazy in how I choose to spend my time, but I still make a sufficient amount of time for having fun.

I love to travel whenever I can afford it. So far I have been to Spain and Ireland and all over the US. I plan to do more. I like the destination better than the journey, though. Hello, I'm looking to meet someone new, I'm not too picky, unless your completely repulsive or have more tattoos than I do. I must say I'm into general hygiene. I am a saver not a spender I have a closet of old navy and a few American Eagle and Hollister items in there too, I love sweat shirts and t-shirts but in this Florida weather I have been wearing a lot of tank tops.
I am a true gator fan, and yes I like football. I have attending gator games since I was 12 and went to University of Floridaâ??s volleyball camp two summers in a row but I fractured my knee so I am unable to play anymore, it kills me because I was on my way to play for the University of Florida lady gator volleyball team.

Then there is the love life I am never good when it comes to relationships, I always get screwed over by the pot head or the cokehead or the user who used me for my money and my car. I need a guy that gets me that gives me space when needed but yet shows affection towards me around his friends. I hate being left out. I want to go out dance party or even stay at home drink a few beers with some close friends. I am quite easy to get along wit and I am mostly the guyâ??s girl. Girls have way too much drama that is why my two best friends are both guys. As you probably guessed from my username, I moved from Virginia to Gainesville. I'm still getting used to Florida; it's much hotter here than I am used to, but I hear the winters are really nice. I come from a big family, and hope to have one of my own someday.

I love cooking, which I taught myself to do. I'm a huge football fan, and have adopted the Gators (although I will always be first a Wahoo and second a Redskin). I love grilling, and do it whenever possible, which works perfectly during football season, and not as well in these rainy winters.

I desperately want a dog, but am waiting until I know I can care for one.

I love driving with the windows down, cold nights under a ton of blankets, walking in to an air conditioned house when it's really hot outside, walking in to a really warm house when it's cold outside, bourbon in my coke (or more like coke in my bourbon), college football, tailgating (seriously, I could do it just for fun, there doesn't even need to be a game or a concert or anything), girls in scrubs, and hot days spent in the ocean.

t is hard to meet people my own age in a college town, even more difficult to find someone whose face is not glued to some texting machine or walking around with an earful of cellphone. I dislike computers, despise television, and just plain do not like cornflakes (the plain ones; frosted flakes are fine). I listen to a lot of music, as I work at home this is quite possible, and, recently, I have discovered classical music. I read a lot, especially history and classics. Thumb-wrestling is awesome, monster trucks better, and I really dig on some cold PBR.

im laid back, i don't let the little things in life bother me...for that fact i rarely let the big things bother me either. i spend a lot of time working on my motorcycle. i am obsessed with my bike. it's a 94 yamaha FZR 600 with a few mods. i play way too many video games but my favorites are fallout3, halo, counter strike, left 4 dead 2, starcraft, and call of duty. i have a lot of tats and piercings, 14 tats and 15 piercings to be exact. im going to be starting college soon. im going for a welding certificate and an AS in business administration.

I am a 28 yr old woman who really likes her life. I love to experience new things and go places. I like to read fiction, especially sci-fi and fantasy (and some non-fiction) and make things with my hands (cooking, crafts etc.).
