A. L. Mebane Middle School Reviews

Very unhappy with the school management. Please fire the principal.

I am a teacher at Mebane Middle School and was disappointed to see such negative ratings and comments about our school. Teachers care very much and provide an excellent education for students. We have always been an 'A' or 'B' school. You want the best for your child? Mebane is the place for you! Come see for yourself.

I had heard terrible things about this school but having gone there myself I did not even hesitate to send my son there. After two semesters I pulled him out because a couple of his teachers just didn't seem to care about the kids at all so I home schooled him for a year. He just recently went back and it is back to the same old thing. I just spoke to one of his teachers about having a meeting about my son's learning disablities and she couldn't get me off the phone fast enough. She just kept saying OK, OK we will talk about it then. I wanted to ask her 'Are you even listening? Do you even care?' I am furious. I should have listened. I have talked to several parents and they all same the same thing- this school is terrible and the teachers just don't care!

The majority of the teachers have been very helpful. There have been several that I thought should not be in the teaching field. The admistrative staff has been willing to help us when we have issues to deal with.

I have not been happy with any aspect of this school since transferring my child. I am still trying to figure out what they are actually teaching. I have heard numerous complaints that the kids are unruly and would not advise this school!
